Case Studies
I have 10 years of diverse experience from military forensics to data management, specializing in complex system integration across all platforms including native applications. My passion for accessibility drives me to educate others.
Strategy & Direction
Advocate for Balance. To advise scalable, human-centered decisions accurately, I will always shape solutions based on validated problems, human behavior, and business feasibility.
Accessibility
Design inclusively. UX is NOT self-expression. It's about your audience and their circumstance. The goal is to mimic/ predict user's factors, behaviors, and psychology. No matter their situation.
Process & Documentation
Communicate to all. I'm a big believer that a strong process has regular documentation. It serves as a reference, giving context to the product's lifespan from the initial concept to the current iteration. All while showing the value of our role.
Mentorship
Watch others grow. Helping my team understand best practices and teaching them how to make it work for their struggles is only half the battle in a company. Often, I educate other departments and teams on the importance of UX and how they can apply it to the team to make a kick-butt product together.
Bri Dorgan
Senior UX Researcher

I have been very lucky to be on Erica's team at Yum! Brands. I admire her so much as a design leader, a professional, and a person, and I can honestly say that what I have learned from her has transformed my career in product design. If you're looking for a visionary leader with infectious energy, product design/ UX/UI guru, true team player and genuine soul, Erica is your girl!
Erica is a dynamic design leader with an unmatched enthusiasm for and deep knowledge of the field. Our team had been struggling to build UX maturity, find our voice within our product teams, and set ourselves up for success when it came to getting clear requirements and UX roadmaps. Erica stepped in and took it upon herself to become fluent in product management, working alongside our product teams to build processes for writing UX requirements and tickets, getting UX ahead of dev in sprint planning, managing our UX work in Jira, evangelizing our process, and building trust in the UX team. At the same time, she was still wearing her Principal UX Designer hat, managing her own workload and still somehow always finding time to jump in and help if another team member was stuck on a design problem (and was always able to give advice that was spot on, on top of that!)
As a professional, Erica is true blue. She is always direct yet kind, a clear communicator, organized, and extremely dependable. If Erica is on a project, you can trust that she will always finish it on time and to the best of her ability. She is a motivator who brings people along in her vision.
As a person, Erica has been a joy to get to know both at work and outside of work. She is an incredible person who anyone would be lucky to know and who I'm proud to call a good friend. Her presence is always uplifting and inspiring.
Erica would be an asset to absolutely any team she joins and I wholeheartedly recommend without hesitation!
Ryan Wilson
Principle UX Consultant
Erica is a phenomenal person to have on your team. She is professional, driven, and very knowledgeable in UX and Product Design. She has a strong passion for accessibility (a11y) design. And she is an advocate for modern tooling and is my go-to when I have a question about Figma and unmoderated user-testing tools.
Erica brings a peppy, happy nature to the team and always looks on the bright side of things. That said, she is also a realist, is willing to speak truth to power, and tell it like it is. She is absolutely great with clients and understands how to best communicate her product recommendations.
I highly recommend Erica for any senior-level roles in UX or product design.
